Jono McNeil, a London-based vocal coach, arranger, director, and producer, has garnered significant expertise in the music industry. He currently serves as the vocal coach for Netflix’s acclaimed show, “Building the Band.”
Jono collaborates with a diverse range of prominent artists, including Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star Ayra Starr, Grammy Award winners Patti Labelle, Kesha, Gregory Porter, and BRIT Award winners JADE and JLS. Additionally, he has worked with Emma Bunton, Mel B, Ava Max, and Say Now.
Beyond his collaborations with artists, Jono is a sought-after vocal coach in the television and entertainment sector. He has contributed to major productions on and off screen, such as “Building the Band” (Netflix), “KPOPPED” (Apple TV), “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK,” “The Masked Singer,” “The Voice UK,” “The Voice Kids,” and “Little Mix: The Search.”
An accomplished performer, McNeil has collaborated with renowned artists like Michael Bublé, Paloma Faith, Josh Groban, Nelly, Jamie Cullum, Philip Selway (Radiohead), Lemar, George Ezra, and Jocelyn Brown. He seamlessly integrates his firsthand experience as an artist with his expertise in vocal artistry and music direction.
Jono holds a Master’s degree in Voice Pedagogy and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz. He has served as a keynote speaker at esteemed conferences, including AOTOS and Vocology in Practice (VIP) and has led degree-level courses at ACM, where he oversaw a scholarship program in his own name.
